Overview
Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Assistance upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will be directly transfer to Gangtok (124 Kms / 4.5 hrs approx), at an altitude of 5500 ft.
Gangtok, the capital of the state, one of the most beautiful and clean town of north east, promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Rest of the day & overnight at leisure.
Post breakfast excursion tour to the source of all lakes Tsomgo lake (12400ft) which is 37 kms (2 Hrs approx) away from Gangtok city. The oval shaped lake is almost about 1km long, and 15mtrs deep.The lake is considered sacred by the local people.
After that visit 18 kms from the lake Baba Mandir (temple of disappeared army personal) and back to Gangtok. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping / at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast check out from hotel and visit After breakfast proceed for a half day tour of Gangtok city (Timing: 9.00AM to 1.00PM) covering - Banjhakri Falls, Government Institute of Cottage Industry (Closed on Sunday, 2nd Saturday), Orchid House Flower Show, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology, Dodurl Chorten. Afternoon there after direct transfer to the queen of the hills Darjeeling (127km / 5hrs).Darjeeling was the summer capital of India during British raj and presently holding the status summer capital of West Bengal.

Early morning (4 am) excursion tour to Tiger Hill for the spectacular sunrise and it's amazing effects on the Mt. Kanchendzonga (world's 3rd highest peak), visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop War Memorial on the way back to your Hotel.
Post breakfast tour to the Peace Pagoda Japanese Temple, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Garden, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), world famous tea garden (outer view) etc. After that visit to the Mall (Chowrasta) along with local Market for city life. Overnight at hotel.
